Deer Leather Bracelet With Real Leaf Made Of Copper
I made this nature inspired pure copper real leaf deer leather bracelet from a leaf of the American Beauty bush which grows in our yard. I formed the copper leaf to contour to the curve of the wrist and used soft and smooth black Deer leather for the bracelet. The copper leaf was oxidized to bring out the beautiful veins and give it an antique vintage look.
- Deer leather bracelet standard women wrist Size: 7” inch ( 18 cm) and 1” inch wide (2cm) – NOT adjustable!!
- Closure: Dungaree Button
- Copper leaf is approx. 2 inches (5 cm) long and in the center 1 inch (3cm) wide
This piece should not be submerged in water, as the leather could warp. To clean the metal, buff with a soft cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals as they could damage the leather .
About Copper And Bronze:
Bronze/ Copper: these metals may discolor the skin green. It does not apply to everybody but please be aware that this might happen. I do seal all bronze and copper pendants but sealing might wear off after a certain time and need to be re-sealed. Sealed metal does not oxidize.
Since the tarnishing process is facilitated by the oxygen in the air, it is advisable to keep your copper/ bronze jewelry in a plastic bag to slow down the formation of patina. You can also put an anti-tarnish strip in the bag.
Make sure you wipe your bronze jewelry dry before storing it: Leaving it to dry in contact with the air makes it easier for patina to form.
